Portland Police were called to Portland Arts and Technology and Casco  Bay High School at 185 Allen Avenue at 1;45 pm on Monday, January 22, 2024.  Police were informed that a student had made threatening comments to Casco Bay High School online this afternoon.  Out of an abundance of caution, the schools were put on lockdown.

Portland Police arrived shortly thereafter and ensured the schools were safe while other officers responded to the Riverton neighborhood and took a male juvenile into custody.  He has been charged with Terrorizing and was transported to Longcreek Youth Development Center according to a press release from the Portland Police Department.
