Former Auto Sales Facility to be Eating & Drinking Establishment Eventually.

The building located at 155 Washington Avenue will be an eating and drinking establishment in the future said Asher Woodworth, the new property owner. The site is the former location of Casale’s Sales & Auto Service on Munjoy Hill.   That business is now located elsewhere in Portland.

Woodworth said his plans for the building are incomplete because he’s talking to possible tenants for the building, although he expects to release some more specific information in the near future. He will be leasing the property to tenants and will not be involved directly in the running of them.  Woodworth recently moved from Portsmouth, NH to Portland where is now lives.

It is the same property that developer Ron Gan and his business partner real estate agent Jed Rathband had once hoped to develop into condominiums.  The two were unable to raise the necessary financing to go forward with the development, although many like the design of the proposal.
