At 10:10 pm on Thurday, January 4, 2024, Portland Police were called to Union Station Plaza, at 274 Saint John Street, for a report of a shooting.  Shortly thereafter, officers located a victim nearby who sustained a non lifethreatening gunshot wound and was taken to nearby Maine Medical Center.

Portland Police are following leads and currently investigating the shootig  and believe there is no threat to the public.
