Tim Walz, Governor of Minnesota, Has Been Selected to Serve as VEEP on the Harris Presidential Ticket.

Vice President Kamala Harris has Selected Governor Tim Walz to be Her Running Mate.

Tim Walz, 60, Governor of Minnesota, has been selected to serve on the Democratic ticket as VEEP along with Kamala Harris according to cable news reports starting  around 9:00 am  this morning.  He’s been Governor of Minnesota since 2019.

A progressive, the Governor is a forrmer high school teacher, high school football coach, 25 year member of the National Guard and a Congressman before becoming Governor of the State of Minnesota.   Governor Walz recently used the word “wierd” to describe the Trump/Vance team – a term that has stuck unlike some of the vicious lies  used by the Trump/Vance team to describe Vice President Kamala Harris and her identity.

It was also reported on cable news that the chemistry between the two was very important in her selecdtion of the Governor for this slot on the ticket..  By tv pundits, the Governor was called a “happy warrier” as he is able to criticize his opponents but with a “twinkle” in his eye.  He has also been descsribed as a “good guy, solid and reliable. Always loyal.”

Mills (D-ME)

In a statement issued by VP Harris this morning, she said:  :”Governor Walz is a battle-tested leader with an incredible track record.”

“Governor Walz will make an excellent vice president.  Having served with him in Congress for many years, including on the House Agriculture Committee, I know Governor Walz is not only kindhearted and even keeled, but cares deeply about our country and has dedicated his life to serving.  As a rural Minnesotan, he understands the challenges Mainers are facing and shares our common sense values. The Harris-Walz ticket moves our country forward, not backwards,” said Congresswoman Chellie Pingree (D-ME) in a press release issued this morning.

A press conference for the Dream Team of Harris/Walz is scheduled for late this afternoon or early evening; 5:30 or 6:00 pm in Philadelphia, PA.
