“What is happening now in Maine began earlier than just this week,” said Graham Platner, 41, when he was interviewed this evening on MSNOW cable news.  “ICE agents have been on the ground in Maine for a while.  They are actually behaving very much like they are in Minneapolis,” said the US vet who has served four tours of duty overseas in the US military.  “They are seizing targets because they can.   If you use your power and no one stops you, you can get away with it.”  Mr. Platner, is the leading candidate for the US Senate to unseat the incumbent Senator Susan Collins (R), a spineless Trump ally, according to polls.

Mr. Platner said that people in Maine are watching the people of Minneapolis and St. Paul with “awe. What we are seeing is a blue print for what is happening here in Maine.”  He urged people to get off the couch and join a group to stand up to the Trump administration’s illegal activities.

Mr. Platner suggested joining an immigrants’ group or Food for All Services, on Parris Street in Portland.  His web page now has a NO ICE in Maine:  Take Action page with resources and opportunities to oppose the tyrannical abuse of government power by the Trump administration and specifically Secretary Kristi Noem.

“It’s not the courts that are stopping Trump.  It’s the people,” he said.  This prime time interview on cable news came about 12 hours following the second murder of an innocent American who resided in Minneapolis.  Alex Pretti, 37, and an  ICU nurse in a VA facility,  was trying to assist a women that ICE goons had pushed to the ground in Minneapolis this morning around 9:00 am. Rather than de-escalating the situation as  properly trained law enforcement would do, Mr. Pretti was thrown to the ground and murdered by ICE goons.  Shortly following his murder, Secretary Kristi Noem labeled Mr. Pretti as an armed domestic terriorist determined to “massacre law enforcement.”. Her premature pronouncement is in direct conflict with the videos of his murder.   It is also a license to murder because it assures ICE goons they will be protected by the lawless Homeland Security.   Mr. Pretti had a permit to carry a concealed weapon which is legal in Minnesota.  He carried a semiautomatic handgun However, no sign of the weapon was seen on videos taken during the altercation between the goons and Mr. Pretti.

Earlier in the evening, Congressman Seth Moulton (MA-06) said on cable news:  “I see a bunch of cowards.  The only question that remains  is was this murder or execution?  State sponsored terrorism is what we are seeing.   This is what we would see in Iran.”  The Massachusetts Congressman went on to say that Trump is trying to normalize state sponsored terrorism.  “It’s time for Republicans in Congress to stand up before it gets worse.  And it will.”

It was reported that Secretary Noem said she is willing to make a deal with Minneapolis:  She will withdraw the ICE goons if the Secretary of State will turn over its voting records, SNAP receipient records and other highly sensitive information.  The Trump administration has made the same demand of Maine’s Secretary of State Shenna Bellows in the past.
