“Maine has been invaded by a masked secret police force.  They are dangerous, poorly trained and terrorizing families……….This agency needs to be kicked out of Maine and dismantled,” said Graham Platner, 41, in a press release issued this morning.  Mr. Platner specified groups who are caring for our communities that he also supports.  He encouraged the public to do the same.

They are as follows:  Donate to “Presente” – it works in community to provide food and material support in Maine; “Project Relief” –  Direct support specific for community members that have been detained by ICE; “Food for All Services” – Pack and deliver food for community members, especially those unable to leave their homes right now, 207 – 900-9597; Report ICE activity to the safety hotline – 207 – 544-9989.  Be certain to only share information that you have personally seen with your own eyes.

Lasty, Mr. Platner’s web page has a “No ICE in Maine:  Take Action” page which will continue to be updated with resources and opportunities to oppose this tyrannical abuse of government power.  “We’re building a movement, not just to win an election, but to fight for justice in our commuities on every front.”

Last night, the Lame Duck Governor Janet T. Mills, 78,  appeared on a cable news show at 7:00 PM.  She was given a prime time major platform to make her case against the presence of ICE in Maine.  Unfortunately, she was unable to take advantage of that opportunity to convince anyone, especially Dictator Trump, her case was valid.  The Governor who has served as a popular public servant here, was unconvincing that she is ready to climb up the next rung on the ladder of public service.  Her message was rambling and unfocused.   Her message did not reflect well on herself or the state of Maine.  She did criticize incumbent Senator Susan Collins, 73, (R) for not using her influence to eliminate the trigger-happy  ICE goons from Maine communities.  But given the opportunity to focus on a message by one of the show panelists, she blew it:  Trump is targeting only Blue States as part of his policital retribution campaign – against states that did not support his re-election – she blew it by not making this nugget part of her unfocused anti-ICE diatribe.  Another panelist opened the door to Secretary Noem’s dubbing it “Catch of the Day” and that implication to Mainers.  The governor was unable to exploit that moniker to her advantage.

According to the Maine People’s Resource Center Mr. Platner is leading both Governor Mills and Senator Collins in the upcoming bid for US Senator from Maine.  That’s why he is the “leading” candidate in the race.  Sixty-three  (63) percent of Americans are opposed to the performance of ICE goons to date.

You can take the Governor out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the Governor.
