On Friday, January 23, 2026 at 9:00 pm., Portland Police responded to the Residence Inn at 145 Fore Street and the AC Hotel at 168 Fore Street for reports of distburbances.
Initially, there was a small crowd that was not causig any issues. However, by approximately 10:20 pm, a crowd estimated to be approximately 40 people appeared together and were blowing whistles, banging on drums and causing disturbances. The noise was disruptive to hotel guests and others in the area. It is believed that the trigger happy ICE goons were staying at both hotels.
The group was repeatedly told if they did not disperse, individuals would be charged with Disorderlly Conduct. Just before 11:00 pm., several of the protesters refused to comply and were arrested, charged with Disorderly Conduct and transported to the Cumberland County Jail.
The following individuals were arrested: Andrew Manienieks, 25 of East Orland; Samuel Pecor, 30, of Biddeford; Amelia Fleming, 26 of Nobleboro; Meghan Morrison, 28, of Pprtland; Savanah Roberge, 19, of Somersworth, NH; and John Clark 30, of Windham.
A previous protest held Wednesday night at the Residence Inn resulted in one criminal summons being issued. Earliler on Friday evening, Portland Police facilitated a separate protest that began in Monument Squae, proceeded to Longfellow Square and returned to Monument Square. That event concluded at approximaely 7:00 pm.
“The Feds denied the state of Minnesota the opportunity to investigate the murder of Renee Good earlier this month. Rather it wanted to initiate a criminal investigation into her following her death. However, the state of Minnesota has begun its own investigation into her death – without the assistance of the feds. The feds are not conducting an investigation into the ICE goon who murdered Good; the clear conclusion is that this is a government cover-up of the truth. This move by the feds provices license for untrained ICE goons to proceed unchecked by the law.
