Scarborough Man Arrested in Portland on Numerous Charges, Including Illegal Possession of a Firearm

On Saturday, November 16, at 8:10 pm., Portland Police were callled to the Rusty Lantern, at 2282 Congress Street for a report of a man passed out in his vehicle at the gas pump.  Upon arrival, police dicovered 33 year old Jdames S. Stross of Scarborough passed out in the driver’s seat with the vehicle running and a handdgrn in his lap according to a press release issued this morning by the Portland Police Department spokesman.

Officers retrieved the handgun before waking Stross up to begin their investigation.    During the process, it was discoered that he was in possession of numerous grams of illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia and $954. in cash.

Stross was arrested and charged with Illegal Possession of Firearm, Drug Charges and Operating While License Suspended or Revoked. He was taken to Cumberland County Jail.
