Alex Pretti, 37, an ICU VA Nurse was Murdered by Trigger Happy ICE Goons Over the Weekend. Mr. Pretti was Shot Ten Times, Three of Them in the Back. His Murder has Sparked Outrage Across the Nation and Lawsuits in Minnesota.
Yesterday, Maine US Senate candidate Graham Platner released a video condeming the murder of Alex Pretti at the hands of federal agents Saturday morning. Pretti was legally carrying a firearm when he was executed by federal agents in Minneapolis.
“I’ve been a gun owner my entire life. I shoot compeitively. I carry on occasionallly because i is my right as an American and y right as a Mainer,” said Mr. Platner in the video. “To watch people in party that for years has screamed about protecting the Second Amendment, to turn round and say that because this man had a holstered legal firearm, he deserved to be murdered by federal agents, is the height of hypocrisy and the height of unconstitutional behavior.”
Mr. Platner continued: “This is an ICU nurse at the VA who dedicated his life to helping veterans and helping his community and then he is killed protecting his neighbors, protecting people in his community. Murdered. Shot down by the state. Executed in the street.”
Graham, 41, is the “leading” candidate to defeat incumbent Senator Susan Collins, 73, (R) in the current race for her US Senate seat. According to the Maine People’s Resource Center, he is leading Governor Janet Mills, 78, by seven (7) percentage points.
Graham was born in Blue Hill and raised in Ellsworth and Sullvian. He is a lifelong Mainer. After HIgh School, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served three deployments to Iraq. He returned to America and used the GI bill to attend George Washington University. But when he saw some of the people he served with get deployed to Afghanistan, he realized his time in uniform was not over. Graham enrolled in the Army National Guard and was soon deployed to Afghanistan. Eventually Graham was drawn back home to Maine by his desire to serve his community of Sullivan. He started working on an Oyster Farm on Frenchman Bay. He eventually took over the farm and has built it into a successful and well-known small business in the community. He also serves as Sullvian Harbormaster and Sullivan Planning Board Chair. Graham lives in Sullivan with his wife, Amy, just three doors down from the house where he grew up.
