Magnetic Strips that Predict the End of MAGA Member’s Collins Career as a US Senator from Maine Were Popular in the Portland Area in her Last Campaign for the Senate.

In a new Public Policy Polling survey of 670 registered Maine voters announced yesterday by the Platner campaign and conducted between June 2 – 3, 2026, Graham Platner leads Certified MAGA member Collins 49% – 45%.

Platner leads Collins 49 – 45 in the head-to-head, with 6% undecided – a 4-point edge in the race for US Senate.

The “undecideds lean Democratic.  They backed Harris by 23 points in 2024 and give Trump a net – 26 favorability now, suggesting they’re more likely to break toward Platner than Collins.

The lead remains unchanged after negative messaging on both candidates.  After hearing an attack on Platner (sexually charged texts to other women while married) and one on Collins  (Steering $50 million + in govenment contracts to her husband’s company), Platner still leads 48 – 44 — the same 4-point margin.

The horse race is consisten with — in fact, slghtly stronger than — the campaign’s own most recent internal polling from mid-May, reinforcing the durability of Platner’s lead rather than reflecting a single favorable outlier.

Additionally, fundraising has spiked since Saturday, 17% higher than the previous four-day period, one of the best stretches of the campaign.  The Platner campaign has sen an 18% increase in small-dollar donations versus the previous week.  The increaase in small-dollar donations from Mainers was even greater – a 27% increase.  The Platner campaign continues to be one of the top 5 fundraisers on ActBlue this week.

In Maine, the message from voters is steadfast:  they care that you’re fighting for their hopitdals, their wages, their housing and their kids.  This campaign has always been about the ideas that will move Maine forward and past a broken politics of the past — just what the electorate and this moment demand.
