This morning, Monday, May 8, 2023, at 6:39 am., Portland Police received a call for a reported assault on Monroe Court.  A six-year old girl answered a knock at the door and was attacked by the suspect.  An adult confronted the intruder, who quickly fled the home.  In an abudance of caution, the victim was transported to Maine Medical Center where she was evaluated and released.

The Portland Police Department is looking for a white male in the 40s or 50s.  He was said to be weating a red and black long-sleeved checkered shirt and a black and white hat.  The suspect also had gray beard scruff on his chin.  He was last seen fleeing from Monroe Court towards Anderson Street early this morning and may be riding a bicycle.
