Two Incidents Result in Three Drug Arrests on Sunday, May 7, 2023

The Portland Police Department arrested three people in two different incidents on Sunday, May 7, 2023 – both resulting in illegal drug possession charges.

A phone call alerted police to a vehicle potentially selling drugs at the Union Station Plaza on May 7, 2023, at 5:12 pm.  Further investigation led to the arrest of Nicole Abate-Alder, of Sanford, who was charged with Unlawful Trafficking in Scheduled Drugs, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and Violating Condition of Release.  She was in possession of 5.3 grams of Fentenyhl, 2.4 grams of Methamphetamine and was summoned for her offense.

Later that night, a vehicle stop at 10:34 pm at the intersection of Saint John Street and Congress Street led to a pair of arrests.  The driver of the vehicle, Sahal Hourden, of Portland, was charged with Unlawful Possession of Scheduled Drugs and Violating Condidtions of Release.  The passenger, Christopher Hyson, of Portand, was charged with Unlawful  Possession of Fentanyl (8.81) grams).  Both were summoned for their offense.
