
Jeff Olivet, Executive Director of USICH, Will be the Keynote Speaker at Homlessness Conferrence on October 17, 2024
Jeff Olivet, Executive Director of the US Interagency Council on Homelessness will be the keynote speaker at the Second Biennal Confeence on Homelessness Solutions according to a press release issued from Preble Street today. The annual event will be held at the Holiday Inn by the Bay, Portland on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
The Conference this year ill build on the ideas and relationships established in the 2022 Conference. This year’s event will bring together stakeholders from Maine and beyond to focus on the critically needed solutions and strategies that will help end Maine homelessness.
In his leadership role at USICH, Olivet is responsible for ensurng that federal agencies use their programs and investments to end homelessness in the most strategic and collaborative ways, focusing on proven, effecive and efficient interventions. He works with federal agencies to oversee All In, the federal stategic plan to reduce homelessness across the US by 25$ by 2025. In addition to his past work as a street outreach worker, a family case manager and a supportivehousing coordinator, Olivet is the founder of Racial Equity Partners and the fomer CEO of the Center for Social Innovation, Mr. Olivet has a backelor’s from the University of Alabama and a master’s from Boston C ollege.
