Governor Janet Mills will deliver remarks at the NAACP Martin Luther King, Jr. Dinner in Portland this evening. Prior to the dinner, Governor Mills will join students, Representative Rachel Talbot Ross (D-Portland) and the Martin Luther King Jr. Followers non-profit for a Students of Color Dialogue. Two students will moderate the forum which will focus on advancing racial equity and social justice in Maine.
The Dialogue with Students of Color occurs at 3:00 pm at the Holiday Inn by the Bay, 88 Spring Street, Portland.
The NAACP Dinner remarks will be at 5:45 pm. at the same location.
According to Rachel Talbot Ross the dinner is sold out with about 700 tickets sold. There is also a waiting list.
