On Monday, November 6, 2023, at approximaely 5:40 am., the Penobscot County Regional Communicatdions Center received a 911 call regarding a struture fire at 1821 Main Road, in Carroll Plantation.  The Springfield Fire Departdment and the Lincoln Ambulance Service responded to the scene and located a small residence that was destroyed by fire.  Investigators from the Fire Marshall’s office responded to the scene and located human remains.  The remains are believed to be the homeowner 57 year old Jeffrey MDacy who lived alone at the residence.  The deceased has been transported to the office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusa where positive identification will be made.  The investigation continues according to a press release issued this afternoon by Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer for the Maine Office of Public Safety.
