On May 17, 2025, at approximately 4:55 am., the Lewiston Police Department received a 911 call for a year old with a gunshot wound to the head at 93 Pierce Street, Apartment # 2.  The Lewiston Police Department, Lewiston Fire Department and United Ambulance Service responded to the call. The 4 year old was transported to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, where the child was pronounced dead at 7:08 AM.

The child was transported to the Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy.  The cause and manner of death are pending.  More details will be released as they become available according to a press release issued by Lt. Aaron M. Turcotte of the Department of Maine Safety in a press release issued late this evening.
