As predicted at the end of April, Pine Tree Results, a pro-Collins Super PAC  comprised of a dozen out-of-state billionaires, has launched its ad campaign against Graham Platner, US Senate candidate from Maine, on local television stations.  This blogger saw them for the first time on two Portland stations during the evening news tonight.

The disgusting ads are just one more example of the unethical politics that Collins has wrapped herself in as a card carrying member of Trump’s MAGA team.  She is out of touch with her Maine constituents.  That’s why she needs to be replaced in November by Graham Platner, who is in touch with Mainers.   What is interesting is that the ads are eerily similar to those attack ads that Governor Janet T. Mills used in her campaign against Graham as well.   That could be because they are AI generated ads.  They are fake ads.  And if you don’t know, Mainers were so reviled by these AI generated ads that the Governor’s poll numbers crashed and her fundraising efforts dried up.  Largely because of these factors, she was forced to drop out of the Senate race late last month.
