Senator Susan Collins (R) at Work in Washingto, D.C. Once a Moderate Republican, She Supported Trump’s Agenda over 90% of the Time.

“Bye Bye Susan” Bumper Stickers were Seen All Over Souhern Maine And Sold in Stores and on-line as Well. “The Former “Paper Patch” on Exchange Street. Sold Hundreds of Them.

This Chair Was Provided for Ssnator Collins (R) at a Forum at the Portland Public Library in 2018, Hosted by a Non-Profit “16 Counties Coalition.” She Never Appeard Earning Her the Nickname “No-Show Collins.”
Former president Donald Chaos Trump talks too much. But, senator Susan Sensitive Collins (R) doesn’t talk enough. Unfortunately, she is mum on important matters to women in Maine.
When was the last time you heard Collins’ position on a federal ban on abortion should Trump be re-elected in November?
Although many Republicans have tried to change the subject from abortion to immigrant issues, Trump wouldn’t allow that to happen. He has to keep repeating his lies on abortion. His lies change moment to moment. Just like the weather. But abortion is a looser for Republicans – so let’s keep it front and center before voters until November. With the gut-wrentching horror stories of pregnant women living in anti-abortion states being told everyday, that won’t be hard to do.
Some Republicans understand that anti-abortion issues are loosers for the Cult of Trump party Politicians like LIndsey Graham, Mitch McConnell, Jim Jordan, Coach Tupperware and Collins misjudged the impact that the reversal of Roe would have on women and their allies.
Earlier this week, this blogger emailed the Senator’s press woman Annie Clark multiple times asking for Collins’ position on a possible federal ban on abortion. No response from Ms. Clark; not a peep. Not a whimper. That’s astonishing (and rude) since Collins once touted herself as pro-choice. Where is that pro-choice position paper/press release when Maine women need it? Or was it just a facade that Collins never thought she would have to answer to?
Her failure to meet with her constituents is well-known. Back in January of 2018, Collins, who is from a political family up in Aroostook County, was invited to attend a forum at the Portland Public Library hosted by a non-profit – “16 Counties Coalition.” She didn’t show. The chair of the forum would ask the empty chair a question. He’d wait for an answer. None would come from the empty chair. Just a lot of laughter from the large crowd though. That failure to appear earned her the name “No-Show Collins.”
Early in her political career, Collins wanted to emulate the moderate record of her former boss Senator William Cohen, for whom she worked, according to a 2020 article in “New York Magazine.” The Immoderate Susan Collins. Cohen who became Secretary of Defense under President Bill Clinton began his political career as a democrat. But then Collins has voted over 90% of the time with former President Trump and voted to acquit him during his impeachment by ‘Congress. Secretary Cohen who lives in the Washington, DC area with his second wife has been interviewed on cable television not shy about his stance on a second term by Trump.
“Democrats who came to imagine Collins as a true ally perhaps didn’t pay enough attention to her established friendships with the Bush family, with Karl Rove,” charged the same article previously mentioned. “Most everyone who talks about Susan Collins acknowledges her defensiveness and thin skin,” the article’s author wrote. As a blogger for almost sixteen years, opportunities to see Collins have occured. But unlike other Maine politicians, her apperances are always in protected and controlled environments where she can’t be surprised by unanticipated public questions for which she’s unprepared. She’s too sensitive for that kind of scrutiny.
She fears criticism and so we will probably never know where she stands on a national abortion ban – so unlike other women politicians who are proud to lead their constituents in the right direction. So unlike the legendary former Republican Senator Margaret Chase Smith who often comes out on the positive end of a comparison of the two Maine Republilcan women Senators for courage. It takes no courage to hide behind Annie Clark.
Donald Chaos Trump Did This and Susan Sensitive Collins is Complicit!
