Mona Bector has been hired as the new Assistant City Manager to the city’s manager Jon Jennings. She is replacing current Deputy City Manager Anita LaChance. Ms. Bector begins on Tuesday, May 29th.
Ms. Bector has more than twelve (12) years of experience as a senior executive in the public sector. She has also managed multiple change initiatives within the private and the public sector as a senior change management leader. She most recently ran her own consulting firm in the Greater Boston area focusing on organizational development and change management. Prior to that, she served as a Deputy Commissioner for the State of New York and for the City of New York under Mayor MIchael Bloomberg’s administration for ten (10) years.

I also envision the city as a pioneer in achieving the right balance between growth and quality of life,” stated Ms. Bector in a press release issued by the city. “I consider my role to be one that facilitates and empowers the great team of City leaders.”
Ms. Bector has an MBA in International Business from Nyenrode in the Netherlands and an BA in Education from City College, city University of New York
Her salary will be $140,000 annually.
