The city of Portland has just announced there will be a parking ban starting tonight, Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 10:00 pm – and running through Thursday, March 8th at 6:00 am. Vehicles left on the streets during this time can be towed by the city at the owners’ expense.
- City hall and city buildings will be closed tomorrow because of the timing of the snowstorm. Please call 207 541-6620, the Elder Office, for elder and disabled assistance in clearing sidewalks. By 3:00 pm this afternoon (and possibly well before that time,) Cutter Street and the Eastern Promenade were full. Between 12 – 18 inches of snow are expected to fall in Portland during this storm with strong winds which could cause power outages.
