The city of Portland has just announced there will be a parking ban starting tonight, Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 10:00 pm – and running through Thursday, March 8th at 6:00 am.  Vehicles left on the streets during this time can be towed by the city at the owners’ expense.

  • City hall and city buildings will be closed tomorrow because of the timing of the snowstorm.  Please call 207 541-6620, the Elder Office, for elder and disabled assistance in clearing sidewalks.  By 3:00 pm this afternoon (and possibly well before that time,) Cutter Street and the Eastern Promenade were full. Between 12  – 18 inches of snow are expected to fall in Portland during this storm with strong winds which could cause power outages.

The Public Works department is postponing Thursday’s trash and recycling collection to Saturday, March 10th.
