Portland has announced another citywide parking ban beginning at 10:00 pm this evening and ending tomorrow morning, Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 6:00 am.  Vehicles left on city streets after 10:00 pm may be towed at the owners’ expense.

As of 6:00 pm., the temperature on the time and temperature building in downtown Portland was in the high 30’s and it was raining hard.  However, the snow is expected to arrive in Portland shortly.

Yesterday was Valentine’s Day!  The Valentine’s Day Bandit was at work all over Portland taping valentines to venerable establishments all over everywhere. An especially thoughtful observation of the day was  at Congress Square Park.  Strung across part of the Park were two clothes lines with hand-knitted hats and scarves and invitations to the public to help themselves.  They were knitted by a number of local volunteer groups.
