Ashley Rand, Portland City Clerk. reported the following this evening:

A total of 14,362 absentee ballots have been requested;

Of that number, 6,567 ballots have been returned to the Clerk’s Office;

Of the 6,567 that have been returned, 2,190 of them were voted in person at city hall for early absentee voting.

The last day to in-person absent ballot vote is Thursday, October 31st.  The clerk’s office will be open until 7:00 pm that night.  Earlier this month, city clerk Rand asked that residents return their completed and signed ballots as quickly as possible, due to the large number of requested absentee ballots.
