509 Forest Avenue Office Building Has Applied to the City  to be Converted to Condominiums.

An application to redevelop 509 Forest Avenue, an office building,  to create 38 condominiums on the second and third floors of the existing building has been received by the city of Portland.  The application was filed by property owner and developer DC 509 Forest LLC.  The first floor will retain its retail use status.

Several current tenants still in the building said they know they have to move, but that the building landlord has been vague with them about details on the project.  “There has been little communication from the landlord,” said one tenant.

For more information on the project, please contact Charles Tetelman, of the city’s planning office, at 207 – 874-8724.
