Everyone all over Greater Portland  & Beyond knows how out of this world fantastically superior the baked goods at Katie Made Bakery are – and this Saturday, February 14th – Valentine’s Day – the Bakery is adding its 5th Annual  Valentine’s Day Take Home Dinner For Two – to its regular menu that includes homemade soups and sandwiches that are likewise to die for in addition to the brownies, flourless chocolate tortes and sugar cookies that can’t possibly be resisted.    I DARE you!

If you’d rather stay home on Valentine’s Day evening rather than go out into the Cold, the Blizzard and the  Citywide Parking Ban that starts at 10:00 pm. on 2/14 and runs until Monday, 2/16 at 6:00 am. for dinner, you can choose from two entrees:  Either Marinated beef tenderloin with horseradish sauce on the side OR Baked salmon with tarragon Dijon sauce on the side.  There is a potato dish, choice of vegetables and of course desert! Dinner is prepared and packed and ready to heat with instructions on that as well.  $54. for two is all for all that convenience and great food.  (Candelight & violin soloist costs extra.)  For more menu details, check out Katie’s facebook page.

Please call in your dinner orders by Friday, February 13th at 5:00 pm. The phone number is 771-0994.  Dinners need to be picked up by Saturday, Valentine’s Day, February 14 between 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm, please! Some dinners may be available only “By Luck” That Day.

Katie Capron started out her Bakery business on nearby Cumberland Avenue fifteen years ago.  Two years ago she moved her business to 181 Congress Street and her sister, Jenny, joined her as a co-owner.  Katie bakes and Jenny cooks!

This is another opportunity to support a local, small business on Munjoy Hill. 181 Congress Street formerly was a tatoo shop, an art gallery and before that a grocery store.
