Public Art Work Commissioned by the Portland Public Art Committee.

You are invited to attend a “tree lighting” ceremony on Thursday, November 15 at 5:30 pm to celebrate the installation of the new public artwork, LUMINOUS ARBOR, by local artist Aaron T. Stephan,  at Woodfords corner.  The Portland Pubic Art Committee commissioned the lighted sculpture with existing public art funds to enrich the streetscape as a placemaking element of the emerging neighborhood node and busy corridor according to a press release issued by Jessica Grondin.

Construction of the area is expected to be completed this winter with final paving in the spring of 2019.
