On April 10, 2026, at approximately 9:49 am., Portland Police conducted a traffic stop in the area of 1325 Forest Avenue.

During the stop, an officer observed suspected illegal drugs in plain view inside an open purse.  The driver then attempted to conceal a plastic bag containing the suspected substances.  A subsequent search of the purse resulted in the discovery of a handgun.

The driver, identified as 38 year old Jill Maynard of Windham, was taken into custody and transported to the Cumberland County Jail.  She has been charged with Aggravated Trafficking of Scheduled Drugs (Class A).

Officers seized approximately 39.5 grams gross weight of a substance belielved to be a combination of fentanyl and methamphetamine.
