HANDS OFF! Protest Against Convicted Felon  Trump and Billionaire Musk is a Nationwide Event. Many Towns in Maine are Participating – The Portland Protest is at Monument Square, Starting at 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 5th.

The Penguins of Heard Island Were not Spared one of Trump’s Tariffs.  However, Russia Was Spared Tariffs from Trump.  Penguins Have Vowed to Find Another Trading Partner.

Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) Captured the Attention of the Nation With his Twenty-five Plus Hour Critique of the CF Administration on the Senate Floor, Setting a New Record.

Susan Crawford, Elected to the Wisconsin Supreme Court Yesterday, Defeating a Musk Backed Republican by a Ten Point Margin.  This Defeat and the Closeness of the Florida Elections Have Put Fear Into the Re-election Chances of Republicans Like Senator Susan Collins (R-ME).

Late this afternoon, after the stock market closed,  Convicted Felon Trump signed executive orders that will raise tariffs on foreign car imports and parts by 25% effective immediately.  He’s also implementing a 10% baseline tariff on imports from all countries as well as other tariffs.

Some of those other tariffs were placed on Islands with no occupants on them – seriously.  Russia was spared, but the penguins of Heard Island were not spared tariffs.

The signing in  the Rose Garden followed his usual fantasy and imagination about how the US is being “looted, raped, plundered, ripped off” by our allies that lasted about an hour – touting the misguided glories of tariffs and ignoring the consequences because a Golden Age was on the way – higher prices for American consumers.

It’s particularly stunning because CF campaigned on a pledge to lower prices rather than raise them.  Those who supported him in his election last November are positioned to be among those who will be hurt the most by these price increases.  Walmart and Target have said their prices will escalate immediately.

Governor Janet T. MIlls (D) has called these tariffs a “tax” on people who can least afford them.

In his fantasy world this afternoon, CF did refer to the surprisingly narrow election victories of two Republicans in Florida yesterday – a state where he has won by large margins in previous elections.  Maybe the large population of Florida seniors understand they’ve been “had” by this scammer and his policies that will restrict their voting rights, health care and increase the prices of groceries, clothing, electronics, etc

But CF did not mention the decisive election of Susan Crawford to the Wisconsin Supreme Court yesterday as well.  The contest pitted the liberal Crawford against an Elon Musk financed conservative candidate.  Ms. Crawford won by ten points in an election that Musk said would change the course of history. For many, this ten point margin of victory by Crawford represented a shift in the support by Trumpsters.  At her victory speech with her family by her side, Ms. Crawford said:  “The courts are not for sale.”  Elon Musk contributed $25 million to the campaign on behalf of the conservative candidate – Schumk.

But the last word came from Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) in his twenty-five plus hour marathon critique of the Trump/Musk administration on the Senate floor.  Senator Booker said that he has heard so many of his constituents say:  “DO something.”  The Senator needed to DO something.  “We need to take risks.”  Senator Booker’s marathon critique on the Senate floor set a record previously held by racist Senator James Strom Thurmond, Jr. of South Carolina who spoke against the civil rights act.

“CF lives in a fantasy world where he is King.  He runs an imaginary Kingdom.  Few are allowed inside his make-believe world.   The price to enter is high.  You must leave behind your spine and your integrity.  Rather, you must accept  his versin of the truth. That’s because the King has no morals or scruples.  You must believe him – that he can do no wrong.  The rest of us non-believers are his subjects. Because of his inherit powers he can do anything he wants and no one can do anything about it.  But the King’s armor is cracking and peeling.   Some  Republicans are panicking.   Even CF loyalist Senator Susan Colline (R-ME) is panicking.   It’s not a pretty picture,” says this blogger.  “The armor is beginning to smell bad as well.  Like rotting fish.”
