Cole Swan, 18, of Yarmouth, was arrested just after midnight this morning for multiple charges including Violating Conditions of Release and illegal drug charges. He was taken to Cumberland County Jail. With Swan in his vehicle was a 16 year old juvenile from Yarmouth who was also arrested and taken to the Long Creek Youth Development Center. The arrests occurred following a traffic stop for an illegal U-turn. The traffic stops and arrests took place at Franklin and Fox Streets just after midnight last night..
Taken into evidence were 62 grams of cocaine base, 8.17 grams of cocaine HCL, $1,500 in cash, a working scale and a loaded handgun according to a press release issued by the Portland Police Department early this afternoon.
