President Trump Stumbles as he Climbs the Steps to Air Force 1 Last Year – Perhaps Symbolic of His Dramatical Declining Poll Numbers Among Americans.

The latest scandal claiming the Trump administration is his idea to create a $1.7 billion slush fund to compensate his allies and other thugs who were investigated and/or charged during  the previous administation.  That would clear the way for the thugs who attacked the capitol on January 6, 2021 and were pardoned by Trump to receive hugh payouts for being investigated or charged under the Biden administration.  On the first day of his second term in office, Trump pardoned most of the 1,600 thugs who attacked the capitol five years ago.

Some have been arrested since then for their illegal behavior.

The news of this latest looting of the US treasury dominated the cable news cycles over the weekend and is a front page, in-depth story in “The New York Times,” today, Sunday, May 17, 2026.

“What the f—?,” said  Bryson Lowell, a Portland resident at the news of this latest scandel in the Trump adminstration.  “Why can’t that emergency money be spent in other places.  Places like healthcare, infrastructure, lowerng food and gas prices?”  said the self-employed Lowell. Tim Mason, a resident of the West End of Portland repeated the concerns of Bryson saying:  “What the f—?”  He added his own disappointment that the popular “Fresh Approach” store on Brackett Street is closing its doors as soon as its inventory is sold out.  The store had its license suspended for 11 months and suffered a heavy fine due to a clerical mistake regardng SNAP funds.  The downturn in wholesale business from local restaurants was also a factor in its decision to shut its doors.

A scandal a day has caused Trump’s poll numbers to dip precipitously.  His recent statement before he left for his failed trip to China only added to his plunging poll numbers.  Undoubtedly, it will become a slogan of the Democratic party in the upcoming mid-terms:  “I don’t think about the financial situation of Americans.”  Who knew?

According to a poll released yesterday, 79% of Americans disapprove of Trump’s handling of the economy.  We all know!
