tom Gillis, a Retired Civil Engineer Turned Playwright at DiMillo’s Restaurant Today.

“I think President Joe Biden should resign making VP Kamala Harris the first Black women president, even if its only for 30 days,” said Tom Gillis who was eating lunch at the bar at the pro-Trump DiMillo’s Restaurant today.  Gillis, who lives in Old Orchard Beach, is a retired civil engineer who has turned to play writing these days.

Mr. Gillis had a second recommendation  for President Biden.  “I also believe the President should use his newly granted immunity by the Supreme Court to place Trump in jail for the insurrection he supervised on January 6th,” he said.  “One of the differences  between the Democrats and Trump supporters is that there will be no insurrection  on capitol grounds this election.”

Gillis has just finished writing a play about his grandfather who lived on Nova Scotia.  The play takes place in 1925 when an accident occurred there following his departure from the Canadian province.  Gillis is in the process of recruiting an agent to sell his play to the theater.  He is also finalizing his passport for his departure to Canada – where he is a dual citizen with the US.

Rumors abound that some far right organizations would prefer to have JD Vance president rather than President-elect Trump.  The reason is that Trump is difficult to control and is not predictable.  Who knew?  Surprise, surprise.  More speculation is that RJK Jr. or Elon Musk or some other oligarchy will run the country while Trump toots around golf courses in his golf cart.

Since the conclusion of the cruise ship season in Portland Harbor, the pro-Trump DiMillo’s had plenty of room for lunch time diners – so now the locals can reclaim  the waterfront!
