On Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at approximately 7:00 am., following a month-long investigation, Maine Drug Enforement Agency Agents with assistance from other law enforcement agencies, executed a search warrant at 1351 Lewiston Road in New Gloucester. Agents arrested and charged Siyad Abdi, 45, of New Gloucester, with Trafficking and Unlawful Possession. Abdi also had three outstanding warrants. Abdi was transported to the Cumberland County Jail. His bail was set at $15,000.
Later the same day, at approximately 4:00 pm., at 88 Bartlett Street in Lewiston, Abdurahim Ibrahim, 41 of New Gloucester was arrested on an outstanding warrant stemming from this month-long investigationl He was charged with three counts of Unlawful Trafficking, one count of Felony Possession and Violaltion of Condition of Release. He was transported to the Androscoggin County Jail and is being held without bail.
Also arrested at this Lewiston location was Kayla Labonte, 37, of New Gloucester. She was arrested for Trafficking and Unlawful Possession. Bail for Labonte was set at $10,000. This invetigation remains ongoing. No addtional information is being released at this time according to Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
