Retire Susan Collins: At Age 73 She is Well Beyond Retirement Age!

Susan Collins has once again declared her support for an anti-abortion politician, saying recently, “Of  course I’m going to be voting for Bobby Charles” for governor.

Bobby Charles has called himself “unapologetically pro-life,” supported “defunding” Planned Parenthood and wants to roll back abortion access in Maine.

Collins says she supports abortion rights.  She wants us to believe it, but her stated intent to support a gubernatorial candidate who has called abortion “abhorent” says otherwise.

“Collins’ public support for Bobby Charles is not surprising,” said Lisa Marguilies, Spokesperson for Planned ParenthoodVotes in Maine. “She has said she does not regret her vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the US Supreme Court and Kavanaugh was instrumental in taking away federal protections for abortion.  Now, she says she plans to vote for Bobby Charles to be governor of Maine, a candidate who has called abortion ‘abhorrent’ and who has said he will work with Trump to”defund abortion clinics.”  A vote by Collins for Charles is yet another betrayal of Maine values by Senator Collins”
