This afternoon Delta Air Lines Flight 5860 flying from Portland to New York City (LaGuardia) declared an emergency and returned to the Jetport according to a press release received this afternoon from Zachary R. Sundquist, Assistant Airport Director.

The flight landed safely and the City of Portland Fire Department’s Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting team evaluated the aircraft.  The aircraft taxied to the gate and was deplaned using the passenger boarding bridge.  Delta is working to accommodate impacted passengers.
