The US Custom House Portland, Where an Outdoor Rally Was Held This Afternoon Protesting Israeli & US Policies in Gaza.

Earlier today Palestine supporters gathered to hold a rally and ‘die-in’ around Portland’s Custom House, which houses a number of federal agencies.  They were protesting 19 months of brutal genocide, forced starvation and collective punishment that have created unlivable conditions forr two (2) million Palestinians.

Israel is trying to wipe out the Palestinian people with American tax dollars and we Americans are not willing to let business carry on as usual.  Powerful people who can make a difference and who can change policies need to know that we demand an end to this genocide.  Protestors held their ground until the Police arrived and removed them.  Like millions within and on behalf of Palestine, we’ll continue to put our bodies on the line until we see peace, justice and a free Palestine,” said the Coalition for Palestine in a statement issued this evening.

The Coalition for Palestine has reported previously that both Senators Collins (R) and King (I) voted in April to advance the latest weapons package; one of many reasons this blogger does not support the spineless, inarticulate Collins or the arrogant, smooth talking King.
