The 6th Annual Polar Bear Dip & Dash is scheduled once again for Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the East End Beach on Munjoy Hill.  So far 200 Mainers have registered to run and jump in the Ocean to fight climate change according to a press release received from the Natural Resources Council of Maine on December 20th, 2013, the host organization.

This feel good adrenaline rush includes a plunge into the atlantic and a winter jaunt around the East End to support the Natural Resources council of Maine’s work to reduce climate change pollution.  The bone-chilling fun 5K run begins from the Back Cove parking Lot (across from Hannaford) at 11:00 am. and the dip will be at the East End Beach at noon – the “warmest” part of the day!  A shuttle will return people to their cars at the Back Cove after the dip.  Resignation opens at (;30 a.m. Tuesday, December 31 at the Back Cove parking area.

Pre-registration is online at http://nrcm.kintera.org/dipdash.
