Late this afternoon Portland Police reported that on Friday January 3, 2025, at 12:20 pm., Police responded to a serious motor vehicle accident in the area of 33 India Street.  A 61 year old male from Portland was struck by a SUV driven by a 69 year old female from Falmouth.

The man was transported to Maine Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

The crash is being investgated and no charges have been filed at this time.
