On Monday, June 24, 2024, at 5:10 pm., Portland Police responded to a serious motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Brighton Avenue and St. John Street.
A 36 year old male was riding his motorcycle westbound on Brighton Avenue when, for an unknown reason, he laid his motorcycle down. A car moving eastbound on Brighton Avenue turned left onto Noyes Street, struck the motorcyclist and fled the scene.
The male was tranported to Maine Medical Center with life-thretening injuries.
The Portland Police Department is investigating the incident at this time. No charges have been filed at this time.
