Yesterday a 65-year old Portland man was seriously injured when he was struck by a car.  The car was driven by a 23 year old Portland resident.  The collision occurred in the area of 1335 Congress Street.  The victim was taken to Maine Medical Center (MMC) by MEDCU with life-threatening injuries according to a press release issued by the Portland Police Department late this afternoon.  No charges have been filed at this time and no names are being released at this time.

Portland Police are investigating the crash and ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash or have information to call the Department at 207 – 874-8532.
