Senator Elizabeth Warren Endorses Graham Platner for US Senate

Mainers Want Fresh New Faces to Repesent them in Washington, DC Such as Oyster Farmer and US Marine Vet Graham Platner, 41.  He Was Deployed to Iraq with the US Marines Three Times and to Afganistan with the US National Guard Once.

US Senator Elilzabeth Warren (D-MA) today endorsed  Graham Platner’s campaign for US Senate in Maine, where he is running to defeat Senator Susan Collins.

“Graham Platner is going to flip Maine and then actually deliver change for working people in the Senate,” said Senator Warren.  “He’s a combat veteran, an oyster farmer and has inspired people with his popular agenda for a government on the side of working families — not the billionaires and giant corporations.  Graham will fight every single day to make life better for the people of Maine in the United States Senate.   I’m proud to endorse him.”

“It is an honor to be endorsed by Senator Elizabeth Warren,” said Graham Platner.  “Senator Warren has spent her career fighting those who use power and wealth to take advantge of working families.  She’s been an inspiration and I look forward to working by her side in the Senate to take on Wall Street, monopolies and the corruption in Washington.”

Senator Warren is the fourth US Senator — and the third in the last three weeks — to endorse Platner, joining Senators Martin Heinrich, Ruben Gallego and Bernie Sanders.

Polling in the race has consistently found Graham polling ahead of Governor Janet Mills in the primrary and also outperforming the governor in head-to-head matchups against Senator Susan Collins.  A recent poll conducted by Quantus Insights showed Platner leading Collins 48.6% to 41.8%, an almost 7-point advantage, whlle Mills trails Collins by close to 2%.  The poll is the fifth non-partisan poll in a row to show Platner running significantly stronger than Susan Collins.  It also reflects a broader trend cross various independent polls:  that Platner is the strongest Democrat to take on Collins.

Graham lives in Sullivan with his wife, Amy, just three doors down from the house where he grew up.
