127 Cumberland Avenue – the Location of an Armed Robbery This Morning.

Two residents of 127 Cumberland Avenue were robbed this morning at 9:45 am at gunpoint.  They were robbed by three black males with handguns, who forced their way into an apartment, restrained the two victims and demanded money.  One of the victims was able to escape to a nearby business.  After the victim escaped the three suspects fled with cash heading down Anderson Street.  Witnesses reported that the suspects may have left the area in a tan-colored Ford SUV.

One suspect was described as a black male, 30 years of age, heavy-set, possibly with a mustache or beard, wearing a gray woolen type hat. This suspect was armed with a black handgun.  Suspect two was described as a black male 6 ft. tall, slim build, no facial hair and wearing gray or black clothing with a hood and wearing a baseball type hat.  This suspect was armed with a handgun with a brown handle.  Suspect three was described as 30 years of age, heavy or very large build, wearing black clothing.

The victims reported  minor injuries due to being bound by the suspects.

A video surveillance camera captured images of the suspects and vehicle.
