Downtown Parking Garage Proposal to be Reviewed on 9/26/17 by Planning Board

The City’s Planning office has announced a workshop for Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 4:30 pm at city hall to review an application for a parking garage to be constructed at 48-72 Brown Street in downtown Portland.  The property is currently used as surface parking. The applicant is Ed Gardner, d//b/a Ocean Gate, LLC.

The application calls for a 5 deck parking garage that would provide 281 parking spaces in a surface parking area that currently provides 92 spaces currently.  It would also include 15 bicycle spaces where it currently provides no bicycle spaces.

Ethan Boxer-Macomber, of Anew Development, is listed as the agent.  Architect is Travis Nadeau of Platz Associates.
