President Joe Biden Addressing the World on the Surprise  Early Morning Attack by Hamas on Israel.

In a  brief but clear message to the world, President Joseph Biden said repeatedly that “the US stands with Israel.  We will always have their back,” he said in a press conference from the White House at 2:50 pm this afternoon..  By his side was Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

The President was responding to the early morning surprise attack on Israel by Hamas in which many thousands of  rockets hit in a space of hours.  Hundreds of Israel and civilians and  their families were killed or taken hostage by Hamas.  “My support for Israel is rock solid and unwavering.  We will not ever fail to have her back.  The world is watching,'” the President said.  He also said that he has talked to the King of Jordan and members of  Congress “to make sure that Israel has what it needs.”

The President extended his sympathies for the familirs of those who lost members saying that he and his wife,’ Dr. Jill Biden are praying for those who “lost part of their souls” in this attack.  “We stand with the State of Israel.”

Following his 7 minute statement, the President took no questions from the press gathered at the White House.

Two hundred have been reported dead in Israel with 1,451 injured there as a result of the attacks this morning by “land sea and air,.” Hundreds were injured and 232 are dead in Gaza according to cable news reports following the President’s statement.  Just how Prime Minister Netanyahu will respond is unclear to this attack.  That is  because of the “substantial” number of civilian and Israeli soldiers taken by Hamas complicating his response.  The hostages are believed to be scattered all over Gaza in numerous different locations. Many believe that Iran has assisted Hamas in this attack on Israeli or at the least supports the surprise attack on Israel early this morning.  Cable news pundits have been “stunned”  that Israel was taken by surprise by this attack by Hamas – where was Israel’s intelligence which is supposed to be one of the best in the world?
