A Rainy Day at Harbor View Memorial Park Caused a Delay in the Sweep of the Huge Encampment Until Tuesday, January 2, 2024
Preble Street is asking for your assistance in providing clothing, toiletries and other critical supplies to assist the growing homeless Portland population. A wide variety of items are needed, but following is a partial list of those items:
New or gently used, durable sneakers; tents and tarps; winter coats; thermal gloves/mittens; wool/thermal socks; snow pants; backpacks; toiletries’ underwear and belts.
With winter here, these and other items are needed. If you can donate, please drop off these items at the Preble Street Receiving Center Monday, Wednesday and Friday between the hours of 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.
Meanwhile the city of Portland has scheduled, for the second time, a sweep of the Harbor View Memorial Park, to the concern of social service agencies and others.
