Munjoy Hill To Celebrate Maine Arbor Week; May 19 – 22nd

Munjoy Hill has been chosen to be the  site of a tree planting ceremony as part of this week’s celebration of Maine Arbor Week.  The planting happens on Wednesday, May 21, from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm on North Street across from the East End Community School.

Mayor Michael Brennan will join city arborist Jeff Tarling, John Bunker from FEDCO and East End Community School students to plant 12 heritage apple trees.  Volunteers will care for the “Mount Joy Orchard.”  The trees have been donated by FEDCO and MOFGA .  Volunteers will care for the “Mount Joy Orchard.”

There will be other Arbor Week events throughout the week.
