On Friday, November 18, 2022, just after 7:30 AM., people walking on Kennebec Street near Chestnut Street in Portland discovered the body of Bethany Kelley, a 23-year-old unhoused femail from Portland, laying on the ground.  Kelley had last been seen alive the prior evening.

Detectives investigated this as a suspicious death and an autopsy later confirmed that her death was a homicide.  The cause of death is being withheld and no further information is being released at this time.
