The Portland Museum of Art, (PMA), and UAW Local 2110 have announced the ratification of a contract for all full-time, regular part-time and on-call positions within the Museum. Together, the PMA and Local 2110 agree to work together to support the mission of the Museum and its core values of courage, equity, service sustainability and trust according to a press release recently released.
“We are pleased to have reached a contract agreement with Local 2110,” said Mark Bessier, Directur of the PMA. “We deeply value all our staff and their contributions in fulfilling our Art for All mission. Together, we will continue to embody our values, reflect our communiites and create a unique, exceptional and accessible center for art.”
“Our negotiating process was a productive one and we are pleased that we were able to reach an agreement that will significantly improve conditions for bargaining unit staff,” said Maida Rosenstein, President of UAW Local 2110. “We look forward to good labor relations with the Museum.”
