“I’m proud of the work done to make this arrest,” said Chief Gorham.  “My officers and staff have been taxed by the number of recent violent crimes.  They are dealing with armed individuals at an alarming rate and arrests like these will help make the city a safer place.”

Chief Gorham added:  “These incidents are extremely time consuming investigations.  It should be noted that to date this year, we have a 90% clearance rate in these types of investigations and most notably, a 100% clearance rate with homicide investigations.  It’s important to publicly recognize the hard work that goes into each of these extremely complex investigations.  It involves hundreds of hours of time for all facets of the Police Department.”

Investigators are urging anyone with information that would assist the Portland Police Department to call:  207 – 874-8575.
