Two flu and COVID booster vaccination clinics, both at 39 Forest Avenue, Portland, have been announced by Portland’s Public Health Division this morning.  The first clinic is on Wednesday, October 26 and the second clinic is on Friday, November 4.  Both clinics run from 9:00 am – until noon pm.  Flu and COVID vaccinations will be available to the public, insured and uninsured, ages 12 and older.  These clinics are in conjunction with Northern Light.

Alfredo Vergara, Portland’s Public Health Director explains: “It is so important this year, with COVID-19 still in our community and predictions for a more serious flu season, that as many people as possible receive both the COVID Bivalent Booster and their annual flu vaccine.  CDC assures us that it is safe to receive both vaccines at the same time.”

If you are 12 or older and it has been two months since your final dose of the primary series or last COVID booster, you are likely due for the new COVID Bivalent Booster and CDC recommends that everyone six months of age and older receive a flu shot annually.

Please wear a loose, short-sleeed shirt, bring your COVID vaccination card for documentation, and if yu carry insurance, you must bring your insurance card for billing.
