Portland police responded to 91 Auburn Street for a report of a carjacking on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 4:53 pm.  Upon arrival, a 75 year old man stated he dropped his wife off to do an errand and temporarily parked in the fire lane as he waited for her to return.  A man then entered his vehicle and sat in the passenger seat, pointing a gun at him.  The car owner quickly exited the vehicle as the suspect drove away.  An attempt to locate a stolen vehicle notices were communicated to surrounding towns.

The stolen vehicle is a 2016 gray Toyota HIghander with a Maine plate (5944ND)

Police are looking for a vehicle as well as the suspect, a black male in his 20s with clean cut hair.
