Mark Dubois was Sworn in Last Friday as Portand’s 21st Police Chief at Outdoor Ceremony at Police Headquarters, on Middle Street.  Monday, July 31, 2023 Was to Have Been His First Day on the Job in Portland.

On Monday, July 31, at 5:01 pm., officers responded to Dennett Street for an accident.  An 81 year-old Portland woman was seriously injured when she was pinned between two cars at a residence.  One car was parked and the other was being driven by an 80 year old Potland man.  The woman was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and is currently in stable condition.  No charges have been made.
